Background/History of Bible Gardens

Everything written in the Bible is based on stories passed by word of mouth from one person to another before being recorded. We must accept on good faith that these stories are accurate. Also, words in the Bible have been translated many times and in many languages so the actual meaning might have been changed a little. On the third day God created landscapes for the whole world. When man was created God provided him with food in the Garden of Eden. The plants in the garden were wonderful. Man could eat every meal in there for eternity as long as they do not eat from one of these plants, which was an apple tree. Of course, they ate from the tree and were not allowed to return to the garden to eat the plants. "The lord God planted a garden in Eden, in the east; and there he put the man whom he had formed. Out of the ground the Lord God made to grow every tree that is pleasant to the sight and good for food, the tree of life also in the midst of the garden, and the tree of the knowledge of good and evil." After that mistake man made God said, "the ground is cursed because of the sin now: Thorns and thistles it shall bring forth for you; and you shall eat the plants from the fields. This is when man learned how to grow plants he needed to survive in the environment. In naming the plants there are some differences because none of the disciples were scholars in naming plants. With each person that has translated the garden descriptions, they might have changed or reworded some of the plants’ names. You start to read about the landscape even more around 400 B.C. to around 4 A.D. During that period, they put more importance on the gardens. Yes, being the first landscape in the world you don’t hear too much about that landscape today. Most of the plants have been put into other landscapes, and there is no mention of what the plant came from. Now when you are putting your Bible Garden together, you must take into some consideration on the origin of plants.
